JOB TITLE: Commercial Analyst for an FMCG/Pharma company
LOCATION: Huddersfield
Full Time Permanent
Salary: up to circa £30k.

1.PURPOSE OF ROLE

This role is to help the sales team provide clear and objective reporting and insight using all necessary data.

Responsible for analytics in product movement, pricing, markets, and competition in the current and potential future portfolio, ensuring that the business is measuring its performance accurately and identifying opportunities for growth.

*This role involves big data manipulation/pivot tables - putting it in readable format and then analysing the data.

2.KEY TASKS/OBJECTIVES


*Provide regular and ad hoc reports to drive competitive advantage and help with strategic decision making.

*Ensure stakeholder market intelligence needs are met in ways that identify and create distinct competitive advantages through tactical and strategic use of information.

*Help shape strategic business initiatives by providing useful and insightful business intelligence.

*Provide proactive and high-quality support for ad hoc requests.


3.PERSONAL SPECIFICATION

*Highly numerate with the ability to analyse data to identify key trends and recommend solutions.

*Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to develop relationships within the sales and marketing teams.

*Good communication skills including presentation delivery and report writing.

*Highly organised with good planning skills and the ability to manage priorities across multiple stakeholders.

*Good Microsoft Excel skills
*Experience using IQVIA data would be beneficial.
*Degree in Mathematics, Economics, Data Science or relatable subject
*This role involves big data manipulation/pivot tables - putting it in readable format and then analysing the data.
*This role does not sit in IT however candidates who have an interest in coding in their spare time will have an advantage. (desirable skill/not essential)
