We're looking for an Associate Director with a focus on brand and communications, to join our strategy team at an exciting time. As Associate Director, you will bring extensive experience of brand strategy and marketing communications - from positioning and new propositions, to campaigns, and a hunger for doing things differently. Through amazing work and compelling storytelling, you'll help our clients understand the opportunity for true brand purpose and persuade business leaders to embrace new ideas and ways of working. And you not only know how to drive that in your own projects, but how to lead other consultants to bring out the best in them too.

Through your direction, you'll guide and inspire our ambitious consultants, helping them deliver excellent work, while developing their skills and careers. You're an excellent listener, brilliant communicator and have a real commitment to the team, the work and our mission. You'll also be able to build your own profile, helping help us deliver thought leadership and represent the business in marketing activities, from writing articles to attending conferences and events

Inspiring your clients
*You will confidently lead a range of client projects, responsible for delivering great brand purpose insight, strategy and innovation projects
*Senior clients will see you as their go-to-person on projects. You will build strong relationships across the accounts that you are working on
*You will be comfortable leading at least one key client account (£150k+), aiming to grow the value of the account year on year
*You will also oversee a number of other, smaller accounts with a view to delivering projects, sustaining and growing accounts
*You will be responsible for answering new briefs and developing solutions
*You will lead a team of people, including consultants and creatives in delivering projects; sometimes working with a Director, often leading independently

Supporting the team
*You will manage 2-3 direct reports, oversee a larger team, and be responsible for supporting their development and progress within the business
*You will have a role on the operational management team working in collaboration with other managers to build an efficient, effective and happy team
*You will work with our Directors to create new tools and processes to support the agency proposition and help implement these with the team
*You will be responsible for helping the team and our clients stay ahead of trends and latest thinking in purpose-led brands and communications

Helping us grow
*You will be responsible for bringing in new clients and projects. We expect you to be comfortable in leading the team to meet an annual target of £500k split between growing existing relationships and bringing in new clients
*You will also help us deliver thought leadership and represent the business in marketing activities, from writing articles to attending conferences and events

You will...
*Have 8+ years agency or consultancy experience of brand and communications strategy for large UK and international businesses
*Have a relevant degree from a top university and knowledge of sustainability issues across a broad range of sectors
*Be a brilliant communicator and able to persuade business leaders to adopt new ideas and ways of working, with a track record in selling high value strategy projects
*Have a clear and compelling point of view about where brand strategy and communications fits in the brand purpose agenda
Be entrepreneurial, ambitious and motivated by the prospect of helping build something amazing
*Be able to motivate, inspire and develop the people you work with
