International Communications Executive
Location: Manchester or Birmingham
Salary: Up to £45k DOE
Full time: Permanent
Hybrid: 2 days per week in the office
We're seeking an International Communications Executive to play a key role in developing and implementing our client’s corporate communications strategy across their international offices (UK, Canada, Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong, and China). Working alongside the International Corporate Communications Manager, you'll collaborate with local teams to create bespoke content and campaigns, ensuring firm-wide initiatives and brand assets are leveraged effectively to strengthen global reputation and market standing.
The Role:
- Help the International Communications Manager create and back marketing campaigns and communication plans tailored to each office's local needs and culture aligning with the global brand.
- Help implement specific communication, content, and campaign strategies for each region, working closely with local Marketing & Business Development teams and partners.
- Assist with reviewing, auditing, and developing brand assets to ensure they're consistent and align with our client’s international brand strategy.
- Support the ongoing development of the company website, ensuring content is relevant and accurately reflects international structure, market position, and growth strategy.
- Support media relations in the UK and relevant international offices, adapting strategies to local media landscapes and cultural differences.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key journalists and press contacts in each region.
- Handle both proactive and reactive media activities to support our strategic goals, including assisting with crisis communications.
- Support the development and oversight of a global thought leadership strategy.
- Work with partners and attorneys to develop thought leadership that supports our global growth.
- Help streamline approach to directories, awards, and rankings for efficiency across all regions.
Who we are looking for:
- At least three years' experience in a similar role. This could include a year in industry as part of a degree.
- Experience within a professional services firm, or have worked for an agency with professional services clients.
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills are essential.
- Experience with campaign planning, from creating the strategy right through to putting it into action.
- Experience writing for the media, including building and fostering relationships with journalists.
- Experience developing digital content, preferably within a professional services setting.
- You should be comfortable using communications and SEO tools, as well as Google Analytics 4.
- A good understanding of how to analyse website traffic and best practices.
- A grasp of User Experience (UX) and digital accessibility principles.
- Language skills Malaysian or Cantonese highly beneficial but not essential
