We’re looking for an experienced Head of People to lead the day-to-day running of the People function and help build a culture where colleagues and teams can thrive. This is a senior, hands-on role at the heart of the organisation: you’ll connect business priorities with people outcomes, support managers to lead well, and continue to build a first-class HR operations model.

This is a varied role and a fantastic opportunity to utilise your generalist HR toolkit in a forward-thinking organisation that holds its people at the core of its values

Key responsibilities

  • Leading the delivery of a high-quality, responsive people function to colleagues and managers, turning people vision into practical plans.
  • Owning the end-to-end colleague lifecycle and finding ways to improve engagement, retention and the overall colleague experience
  • Acting as lead adviser on all employee relations matters, from disciplinary and grievance to absence, capability and performance.
  • Leading learning and development across the business, partnering with leaders on capability gaps, career development and succession planning
  • Coaching managers and building management capability through training, guidance and practical support
  • Keeping policies, processes, records and systems compliant with employment law, GDPR and best practice, and supporting audits and compliance reviews
  • Using people data to spot trends and risks, inform decisions and drive continuous improvement
  • Supporting organisational change and business improvement initiatives

What you’ll bring

  • Proven experience in a senior operational HR role, such as Head of HR, Senior HR Manager or HR Business Partner.
  • Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to align people strategy with business objectives
  • Ideally CIPD Level 7 (or equivalent)
  • Strong working knowledge of UK employment law and employee relations
  • Experience managing the full employee lifecycle in a small or medium-sized organisation.
  • Experience working within a growing organisation.
  • A track record of supporting organisational change and transformation
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience partnering with L&D to develop programmes
  • A personable and engaging style with a keen desire to maintain and drive excellence.

Apply now to be considered for becoming part of this continuously growing success story!
