We’re looking for an experienced Events & Communications Manager to lead our client’s external corporate events. This role supports their business development team, with a strong focus on raising brand awareness and reputation in the sector.

You'll bring solid events management skills (with an emphasis on project coordination and logistics) from event promotion and sponsorship to developing content and collateral.

Event Responsibilities

  • Manage event logistics (including venue bookings, creation of marketing materials, invoice processing and packing lists) to support the Business Development team in attending sector-specific exhibitions throughout the year.
  • Organise internal engagement events (e.g. summer parties and other social events), including sourcing and confirming venues.
  • Prepare and manage budgets for all Business Development-related events.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all event-related enquiries from both internal and external stakeholders.

  • Oversee the hiring of event personnel where needed (e.g. DJs, presenters, entertainment).
  • Monitor and assess the success of events to drive continuous improvement — including gathering feedback from the BD team on external events, coordinating attendee feedback, and hosting monthly debrief meetings with the event team.

Communications Responsibilities

  • Lead the communication and marketing strategies for events and projects throughout the year.
  • Manage promotion of events, including sending email invitations, coordinating RSVPs, working with the Social Media Manager to create a promotional schedule, and collaborating with the BD team to ensure key contacts receive personalised invites.
  • Develop and promote sponsorship opportunities, including crafting tailored sponsorship packages and securing multiple sponsors for each event.
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure aligned messaging and communications.
  • Create and implement marketing and communications strategies in partnership with the Head of PR & Comms.
  • Collaborate with the People Team to develop internal communications plans that share business updates and news, using a range of channels and engaging formats.
  • Support the People Team in enhancing their recruitment outreach by developing targeted communications for specific roles and audiences.
