Digital Account Director
Account Director (DIGITAL)
The Account Director is responsible for the relationship with Clients within his/her remit -ensuring that the client is happy with our work, and taking responsibility for the overall quality of the output/relationship, and for developing the business. They are responsible for the direction of the agency’s strategic and tactical delivery of large, autonomous projects for one or several client organisations, or an appropriate sub-division of those organisations.
He/she leads the Client Services team responsible for delivering such projects and is responsible for managing and mentoring more junior staff within their team – ensuring client and agency expectations are met, and providing the senior point of contact/escalation in relation to projects.
*To establish and develop senior contact between the agency and designated senior client representatives and take ownership of their digital accounts – this may include internal clients and direct relationships with external clients
*To ensure that all projects meet and where possible exceed client objectives including ensuring that the quality of our work enhance the reputation of the Agency.
*To communicate effectively with all Clients including clear management of expectations when required, to ensure Client satisfaction with our offering and continued relationship.
*To actively identify new opportunities within the client organization and work with other client team members to develop strategies to unlock these opportunities.
Account management and development
*To generate and circulate strategic Client Service team documentation and briefing documents, including but not limited to; client proposals and presentations, PDRs, project plans and budgets, and enforce production of these by the rest of the team.
*To assist the Managing Director in the generation of regular client financial performance forecasts, ensure efficient financial project management guaranteeing that all purchase and sales invoices are dealt with in a timely fashion.
*To ensure that timesheets, billing and management reporting is submitted on time.
*To develop an extensive understanding of all factors impacting on the client organization’s marketing and communications planning, including organisation, brand, audience, competitor and sector learnings.
*To assist (where they exist) the Client Services Director in all project evaluation processes, analyzing performance across all pertinent measures, identifying key implications and sharing core learnings with the client organisation.
*To assist the Client Services Director in the development of effective annual client development plans.
*To monitor, evaluate and consistently seek to maximize project profitability.
*To manage the relationship with any third party organisations instrumental in the delivery of strategic and tactical initiatives.
*Exploiting other non digital opportunities for benefit of the group
*To act as a leader and give line manger support for all Account/Project Managers and Account Executives under your direction.
*To seek to maximise the performance of the Client Services team under their immediate management against agreed agency standards, including the maintenance of timesheets, and identify any opportunities for operational improvement.
*To provide thought leadership in some areas of marketing communications strategy based on previous experience, and to seek to actively grow their appreciation and understanding of areas and disciplines outside of their previous experience.
*To participate in appropriate internal agency training programmes and look to continually improve their general level of industry awareness.
*To actively seek to establish test projects incorporating new concepts, processes, technologies and vehicles.
*To report to the Head of Digital in all areas of responsibility as indicated above.
*To build, develop, nurture their team including handling any development needs etc)
