Communications Executive | Professional Services | Leeds
We are looking for a Communications Executive to work as part of a small Communications team for a high profile global professional services firm. You will support the delivery of first class communications to both internal and external audiences, which align to the firm’s strategy and support business growth.
This is a varied role which involves ownership of all the communications for defined areas, as well as providing general support to the team of three managers. As part of a small team the successful candidate will be expected to support on administrative tasks, as well as having the opportunity to get involved in a range of projects across the business.
*Creating communications plans in collaboration with key stakeholders
*Identifying stories and keeping on top of news and topics relating to these areas
*Writing and issuing press releases, internal articles and social media posts
*Arranging media meetings and creating briefing documents
*Identifying forward features, selling in stories and securing coverage
*Support the media relations team by maintaining press office procedures and ensuring best practice is followed, including:
Produce content and manage schedules for all internal communications channels e.g e-newsletters, intranet content
*Minimum 2 years’ experience in a PR, Communications or journalism role
*Experience of public relations / media relations essential
*Professional Services experience an advantage
*Excellent written skills, spelling and grammar, attention to detail
*Ability to identify what is newsworthy
*Ability to re-write content for different audiences
*Up to date knowledge of PR and communications practices
*Good knowledge of a range of digital / social media channels
